FAQ
WHAT GEAR DO YOU USE
I shoot on a Canon R3 and a Canon R6. They are mirrorless and fantastic in low light (think dark church ceremony).
They also have 2 memory card slots to help reduce the risk of card failure or error.
During a wedding day, I will have both camera bodies on me, each with different lenses to get a different look.
During receptions, I will have light stands set up if natural lighting isn't ideal. They aren't too intrusive, and light the space up beautifully!
On the dance floor and for some portraits, I will utilize a speedlight for a fun look.
For those who are gear junkies, I love talking shop. Let's get coffee.
How far will you travel for clients?
Weddings in Michigan, and the states surrounding do not count as destination, but may incur small travel fees. I am based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
For destination weddings, we will want to talk over the phone or in person to go over all additional costs. Sometimes, it's cheaper than you think! Extra costs for destination weddings include hotel costs, gas, airfare, and food.
HOW MANY PHOTOS DO WE GET
I deliver about 50-75 photos per hour. That's a pretty decent amount! If you want less, I can do that. Just let me know! I do not deliver RAWS. The images I deliver will be the best of the images. I do not deliver images that are severely out of focus, over or under exposed, unflattering, blinking or duplicates,
DO YOU OFFER ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS?
Engagement sessions are included in our standard wedding package. For hourly weddings or elopements, they can be added to the final invoice.
If you book an engagement session and then book a wedding, the engagement session cost will be applied to your retainer fee.

STEP 02
Call or meet up
I like to talk with you before booking. That way we can go over everything you may need and clarify details. It's also a great time to ask me any questions. Most couples book wedding photography at least 1 year in advance, but it's never too soon or too late to reach out!
STEP 03
Book it
Check your email! Sit down with your partner to read it and sign it digitally. Then, pay the $500 retainer online to fully book your date.
STEP 04
Photo Time
If you have need engagement photos, now is the time we do these! Turnaround time is 2-3 weeks from the shoot date. Keep an eye out on socials for previews. Save the Dates are typically sent out 3 months in advance.
STEP 05
Timeline Talk
About 2-3 months before your wedding, we will talk over the phone on what your photo timeline will be. It's not THE timeline, just MY timeline. You can take this timeline to your venue or planner, and make adjustments to it as needed! Just send me the final at least a week before the wedding.
STEP 06
Final Payment
One month before the wedding, you will pay the remainder of your wedding invoice. This is also the time to add on extra time if you need it!
STEP 07
Wedding Day
It's here! I will show up at the location and time we talked about during our timeline meeting. The day is happening!!
STEP 08
Delivering photos
Keep an eye out on Instagram for previews. (@intricate_exposures)
You will receive a small preview gallery within 1 week of the wedding. The full gallery will be delivered in 8-10 weeks. This seems like a long time, but turnaround times vary, and sometimes happen sooner!
